Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a great man. He was born on 14 November 1889 in Prayagraj (Allahabad). His father’s name was Motilal Nehru. Motilal Nehru was a famous lawyer. Jawaharlal Nehru’s mother’s name was Mrs. Swaroop Rani. Jawaharlal was the only child of his parents.
So he got very much pampered. He received his early education from home. He was sent to England for further studies. He was 15 when he went to England. There he studied at Harrow School, then at Cambridge University.
